Hi, we are Chris and Alison. Thanks so much for reading our stories. We are excited for you to get to know us better.
Our love story began when we were teenagers. We met through mutual friends when we were in high school and began dating. We loved spending time together. Going to different schools and having separate extra-curricular activities made us appreciate the time we got to spend together. We dated throughout high school and spent as much time as we could together. Eventually, things were put on hold when Chris left for a Latter-Day Saints mission and Alison left for college. We found our way back to one another when Chris returned home. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Temple in December of 2008.
We currently have one child, Bridger. Bridger is our very own Halloween baby, born on October 31, 2016. Having Bridger was a medical miracle. It took us five years to have him due to various medical complications. Now, we are hoping to grow our family through an adoption plan. Ever since Chris was young, he has had a strong desire to adopt a child. We know that there is a child out there for us to love, take care of, and raise as a member of our family.
With six bedrooms and three and a half baths, we have plenty of room for our growing family. Our home is very updated and modern and we have made improvements to make it our own. We enjoy cooking and playing around the house. The basement is fully finished and has huge playing areas with lots of toys and games. We have spent a lot of time making it a fun and safe place to raise children. We recently added a playset and a fire pit area in our backyard since we love spending time outside.
Moving into a neighborhood that was developed was great. The trees in our yard and neighborhood are large and matured. The street we live on doesn’t get very much traffic so it’s great for walks and riding bikes safely. We have awesome neighbors who look out for one another. Our neighborhood has a great mix of younger families and older retired couples. Everyone always has such fun decorations for different holidays; it is a welcoming and fun place to live.
The best part about living in our area is the small-town feel. We live within walking distance to parks and schools. There are a lot of recreational places nearby and even larger stores, but the community still feels more rural. We have a brand new library and a splash pad within one mile of our home that we love to spend time at with Bridger. The parks are safe and are very well kept. We truly love living in Northern Utah and raising a family here.
Our Extended Family
We are so thankful that both of our families live near us. We frequently spend time with grandparents during the week. Having both sets of grandparents just a short drive away makes it easy to spend time together. Bridger has five cousins ranging in age from twelve to 2-years-old. They always have such a great time together. Both our parents love being grandparents and are so great at playing with their grandchildren. Our whole family loves the outdoors and camping. We always plan a few large camping trips together throughout the year.
Growing up, family was always the most important thing. Spending time together was always a priority. We always get together for holidays and have big dinners throughout the year. Both our families love each other and support each other in everything. Between family vacations, camping trips and just normal visits to each other’s houses, we don’t have much time to miss each other. Our whole family is very excited to welcome another child to love and raise.
We have so many activities that we love to do! As a family, we love spending time together outdoors. We spend most of our summers camping. We recently purchased a trailer so we can spend even more time exploring the great outdoors! We spend as much time as we can fishing and hiking and enjoying the beautiful mountains we live so close to.
During the summer, when we are not camping, we are usually swimming at Alison’s parents’ house or enjoying the community splash pad by our house. During the winter, we spend time sledding and playing in the snow.
Chris’s family always takes an annual trip to the beach in Monterey, California, where Chris’ grandparents own a beach house. We always make a week-long trip to spend time with extended family. No matter what time of year it is, it seems we are always doing something fun as a family!
Our Promise to You
We are very grateful that you took the time to read our stories. We are thankful for the sacrifice you have made bringing a baby into this world. We have wanted to add another child to our family for years and are very eager to grow our family and love this new addition as our own.
If chosen as an adoptive family, we promise to take great care of your baby. We will give them everything we possibly can. They will be raised with care and love. They will have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will surround them throughout their life. We will love this child with all our hearts and give them everything they will need to succeed.
We hope that we will be able to meet someday, and if you wish, stay in contact throughout your child’s life. We are comfortable with whatever level of openness you prefer. No matter what, we will make sure this child knows of your love and sacrifice for them. Their well being and success is because of your initial love and support in this process.
