Joan enjoys being with nieces & family, hiking, working on family farm, playing the piano and
making messes in the kitchen!!!
Joan was a Montessori Baby and started preschool at age 2, was a competitive swimmer, took
piano lessons as a young child throughout college, received a Catholic Education and in 2013
completed her Doctorate Degree in Nursing.
Bob enjoys the Outdoors, Hiking, Fishing, and Being with Family!!!
Bob grew up with 2 siblings in a small farm community, played the trumpet in the high-school
band, majored in biology, and has been working in his current job position for over 20 years.
Joan and Bob’s Mom work together. Bob’s Mom introduced the two in March, 2014.
October 10, 2015, Joan & Bob were married and had a large wedding.
In 2016, Joan and Bob started planning for a family. Very early on, they found that they would
need Fertility Care.
Joan and Bob live in a Family Oriented Neighborhood with parks, churches, restaurants nearby.
Their home sits on 2 acres with a wooded area in the back.
Their home is a 2 story, four bedroom brick home. There is lots of space for a child to play,
swing, ride bikes, and enjoy the outdoors.
Joan and Bob have a Guinea Pig named Guinnie who enjoys being outdoors when the weather is
warm. He loves carrots and being held.
Bob has a sister, brother, and large family on both sides.
Joan is an only child but enjoyed having exchange students and studying abroad in high-school
and college. Joan was very active in Girl Scouting and Awana Clubs which provided a lot of
social opportunities with children throughout her childhood.
Joan and Bob value raising a child to have opportunities to be active in school, scouting, music,
church, sports and helping them to grow to be a well-rounded person.
Joan and Bob started in 2016 trying to have a family. They both received fertility care, had
surgical procedures, went to several OB/Fertility Specialists in and out of their state and were
unable to have a child.
Joan and Bob also had 2 foster children they took care for > 10 months and 6 months. They both
returned to a parent or a family member.
Additionally, in May 2022, Joan and Bob had a birthmother decide to parent.
Joan and Bob are still very hopeful that there is a forever child for them.
Joan and Bob’s lifestyle is simple. We support each other, help our families and enjoy simple
things such as a being outdoors-grilling/having a bond fire, or watching a movie together.
Joan and Bob respect cultural diversity and the uniqueness each person possesses. This makes
the world special and makes us individuals.
To raise a child in a loving, caring environment, provide them with the opportunities we had for
private education, extracurricular activities, and a place where a child can thrive and grow.
