Jonathan grew up with his two brothers and two sisters in Middle Tennessee. His parents still
live close by, and he sees his family often. His family taught him the value of hard work and
taking care of those around you.
He loves trains! Big ones, small ones, toy ones, and real ones. Jonathan was in the Army for
eight years. He now works for a tire manufacturer and manages standards in the factory.
Jonathan was homeschooled. He has a bachelor’s degree in religion. He and Erin graduated from
college together in 2022.
Erin grew up on a farm in Middle Tennessee with her three brothers. Her parents raised her in a
loving and nurturing home. Though her mom passed away in 2017, her dad and brothers still live
close by. She enjoys spending time with them.
Erin loves animals—goats especially. She enjoys spending time with all her many animals. She
works for her church as a writer and editor. Her goal is to write books one day. Erin was
homeschooled. She graduated with a degree in creative writing in 2022.
Jonathan and Erin met at church. They began dating after being friends for about two years.
Their dates included time at one another’s family’s homes, day trips to museums, and lunch dates
at their favorite restaurants.
They dated for over a year before getting engaged in the Smoky Mountains. It was a complete
surprise for Erin! Jonathan even had a friend take photos to capture the moments. They were
married six months later on Erin’s family farm; the same place her parents were married. They
have been married for over five years now. In those years, they have spent even more time with
their families, taken many weekend and week-long trips, and still enjoy lunch dates.
Their marriage is rooted in God and their deep love for one another. They respect and admire one
another; always working to keep their relationship strong and love each
other well.
Several years ago, they fulfilled a dream when they bought a five-acre farm together
with the hopes of raising children there. They have built a caring, nurturing
environment and are excited to share their love with a child through adoption!
We live in a rural community on a five-acre farm. Even though we live in the country, we are
a close drive to several bigger cities and towns for shopping and outings. Our house is filled
with our favorite things: plants, trains, Disney plushes, and lots of books. Our farm is filled with
animals: goats, sheep, chickens, a pig, and two fluffy dogs. We love spending time at home;
being together and enjoying our peaceful surroundings.
We have many animals on our farm! We raise them as pets, and they have a fun, chill life on our
five acres. They are all super friendly, love cuddles. and will eat out of our hands.
Jonathan’s family is large! They celebrate holidays together at his parents’ house. He also has
good friends from childhood, church, and the Army. Most of his family lives close by, but he has
friends across the country.
Erin’s family is very close. They celebrate holidays together at her dad’s or grandmother’s house.
She has good friends who are from her town and many from her church. Most of her family lives
nearby, and they get dinner or have gatherings often.
We value a loving, stable environment. We will raise our children in a Christian household with
Christian values and morals. We also value experiences like travel and hobbies that will help
shape our children and allow them to explore their interests.
We have always planned to adopt. Erin has wanted to adopt since she was a child; it is a desire
planted deep in her. We planned to have biological children first, but after years of infertility and
losing two babies, we have decided to pursue adoption now. We think it is the perfect way to
begin our family.
When we are not at work or doing farm chores, we enjoy many hobbies. Jonathan does model
railroading, likes to read, and runs. Erin plays piano, sews, and tends to her many plants.
We enjoy traveling and try to take several trips each year. Jonathan likes train museums, and
Erin likes National Parks; so we visit both! We also enjoy going to Disney resorts, like Walt
Disney World and Disneyland. It is our goal to visit every state and every National Park!
Though we are both Caucasian, we have dear friends and extended family who are from different
backgrounds, primarily African American and Middle Eastern. We are very open to adopting a
child from any ethnicity and will ensure they have exposure to all backgrounds and cultures
(especially their own).
Throughout our marriage, we have dreamed about becoming parents and raising children in a
safe, loving home. Caring for them and giving them a space to grow and learn. We are excited to
fulfill that dream through adoption.
If you choose our family, please know that we will always cherish and adore your child. They
will be safe, loved, and provided for, always. We also promise to always honor you throughout
your/our child’s life.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
