Our Lifestyle
Our hobbies are so unique from each other. Amanda likes to read, knit, and do diamond art to distract herself, while Karl likes to play video games, paint miniatures for a game, and work on vehicles occasionally. We both enjoy playing PC games with each other as well as board games. Hiking, camping, and exploring new places around us are activities that we enjoy doing together. We explored an old gold mine mill and discovered that Amanda's great uncle worked there. By going and exploring, you always find or learn something new.
Traditions are significant to our family and us. Our times together mainly involve eating and spending time with each other. On Thanksgiving and Christmas, we always figure out how to spend time with both sides of the family. For Christmas Eve, we celebrated with Amanda's side of the family. We tell the story of Jesus' birth and sing him happy birthday. On Karl's side, we do food and a white elephant gift exchange, where we give the gift to the person chosen in a drawing on Thanksgiving. We spend Christmas day as a couple exchanging gifts and helping the dogs open their presents. Then we cook breakfast and pray to God to thank him for sending his son.
