About Us

Hello! We are Kurt and Erica. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story and learning about us as prospective parents. Our story began when Erica was just 14 and Kurt was 16. We met through friends in high school and became instant friends. It wasn’t until a few years later that we started to develop feelings for each other and quickly moved into a more serious relationship. We were engaged on our one year anniversary and married a year later when Erica was 19 and Kurt was 21. Our dream was to always have a family – we began trying shortly after getting married. We went through numerous doctor visits, infertility treatments, and after 13 years of trying, we found out that biological children were not going to be possible for us. Then, near the end of 2019, we got a call that changed our lives forever – a birth mother wanted us to adopt her baby. Without any prenatal care – we waited patiently and a few short weeks later our daughter, Kinsley, was born. Our families rallied together to throw a shower and bless us with everything we needed. Our hope is for Kinsley to have a sibling to share adventures, life and the unique story of adoption together. We cannot wait to welcome a beautiful child into our home through adoption again.
