Hello. We are Nathan and Emily. We have been married for eight years. We both grew up in
wonderful families with a strong focus on faith, integrity and adventure. We are building our
family and have two boys Ezra, age six and Elias age four. They can’t wait to meet their future
baby brother or sister! We desire to continue to grow our family through adoption. We believe it
is a beautiful process and are committed to this journey of giving unconditional love to a child
throughout their life.
We met through mutual friends. We began dating right away. We spent a lot of time in real life
situations where we felt like we got to know the “real” side of one another quickly. We spent our
time hanging out with each other’s families, going to church or going out with friends. We did
the things we wanted to do with our future spouse and thought we were a great fit for each other.
Within the year we met, we also got engaged and married! It has been eight years of realizing
what a great decision we made!
We live in a quaint neighborhood of historic homes. We bought and flipped our 125 year old
home. We love our neighbors, our large back yard with beautiful mature trees and deck that
looks out over it. We also enjoy being within 15 minutes of our cities incredible children’s
museum, zoo, libraries, our church and families.
We are very close with our parents and siblings. It is safe to say they are our best friends. We
vacation together, go to church together and spend time together on the weekends and holidays.
We are blessed with loving, creative and successful family members. Nathan is one of four and
Emily one of two siblings. We look forward to continued closeness as we all continue to raise
our children together.
Our family values kindness, honesty, and respect, and we believe in creating a warm and
welcoming atmosphere in our home. We have a strong support network of friends and extended
family who are excited to welcome a child into our lives and be a part of their upbringing.
We have experience caring for children through parenting and volunteer roles, and we
understand the importance of meeting a child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
We are excited to provide a child with the love, stability, and opportunities that they deserve.
Since before we had met each of us thought adoption would likely be a part of our future. We
each saw it as a beautiful way to grow a family. Once we met and realized this shared thought,
our dream become more of a reality. We wanted to start our family with biological children and
then begin the process of adoption. We had our two amazing boys biologically and realized
through some fertility issues following and prayer that now was the time to begin our adoption
journey.
We love trying new things. Trying food from different cultures is a favorite of ours. We seek out
new playgrounds and places to hike regularly. Our passes to the museum and zoo are used
regularly also. We love traveling and do yearly vacations as a family as well as smaller trips
throughout the year. We place a high value on accumulating experiences and relationships over
things. Our faith, family, church and community are our highest priorities. We attend church
weekly and are involved with volunteering in our community regularly.
From a young age Emily’s family traveled on missions trips to other countries. It’s part of the
reason Emily followed that path as a single person and lived as a volunteer missionary overseas
for four and a half years. Nathan also lived abroad in China teaching English as a second
language. Diversity is a big part of who we and what we want for our future. We believe there is
so much to learn from every culture and absolutely love experiencing it.
Our children have Hispanic and Asian aunt’s already. We are a family that embraces diversity
and finds beauty in it!
While we know that no one, including us, can or ever will be perfect parents, we know that we
are ready to give our whole heart to your child (children). As parents and having worked with
children in many volunteer roles, we are confident that we can provide a loving and secure
environment for your child to thrive in.
We have a strong support network of friends and extended family and are certain that your
child’s life would be filled with genuine and deep love every single day. We will make sure they
always know you made the hardest but best choice possible for their future and that you love
