ABOUT JAMIE BY WILL
Jamie is one of the most selfless people I have ever known. She always puts her family first and
has so much love to give. She is dedicated and hardworking but has a silly side that comes out
often. She is encouraging, supportive, and I know she always has my back, but she also is
passionate and has her own opinions and beliefs, and is not afraid to stand up when the situation
calls for it. Besides being beautiful, I was drawn first to her kind and compassionate spirit, the
way she enjoys life, her competitive nature, her humility, and her love for people.
Jamie was born to be a mom! I am always impressed every time we are around other children.
She is so good at relating to them, speaking on their level, and building a relationship right away.
Seeing her become a mom to our son, Walker, and now to our daughter, Lindsay, has been a
blessing to witness! Her extravagant love for them, her mama bear instincts, and just her ability
to strike the perfect balance of love and discipline when needed are awe-inspiring.
Hobbies: Grabbing a cup of coffee with good friends — Going on a nice, slow run on a beautiful
day — Watching SEC football
ABOUT WILL BY JAMIE
Will is the most genuine, loyal, and generous man I know. He is also incredibly wise and
conscientious. He is the solid ground when everything around seems shaky. Our family counts
on his wisdom and dependability. We are purposeful about doing this life together on the same
team, and I know I can always count on him to have my back. Will is also hilarious! He is quick-
witted and always ready with some type of joke or comeback. He loves making up silly songs
and games with Walker and Lindsay and keeps us all laughing. Initially, I was drawn to Will
because we share the same love for UGA football, he was also super cute, and he made me
laugh.
Will is able to throw caution to the wind and become childlike when interacting with Walker and
Lindsay, neighborhood children, and his niece and nephew. Though he is often quite serious, he
is able to be completely silly and fun as well. He also has a way of teaching lessons in the midst
of play.
Hobbies: Going on long drives — Watching Seinfeld — Reading leadership books
MEET OUR CHILDREN
Walker (7) is an extremely inquisitive little boy. He wants to know how everything works and
why it works that way. He is tender hearted and kind and always wants to make sure everyone is
included in whatever is happening. Walker loves to entertain anyone who will listen whether it’s
singing his favorite song of the week, making up new lyrics, being silly, or dancing to his own
beat. He loves life and all of those around him!
Lindsay (3) is certainly an adventurous little girl. She enjoys playing with dolls, imaginative
play, and making others laugh. She is feisty, loving, and determined. Lindsay has been receiving
services for physical, developmental, and speech therapy since she was 6 months old. Her
tenacious personality, in large part, has helped her reach the 3-year-old milestones in every area.
She brings a spark wherever she goes!
We met at a Christmas party for our church singles group. Will and his roommate volunteered to
host the party at their house to meet chicks. When I arrived, I noticed the UGA flag flying
outside the home and instantly knew I had met my people in Nashville. We hit it off
immediately, met for coffee before church the next morning, drinks after work that Thursday,
and, as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Three years later, we were visiting Will’s brother in Charleston, South Carolina and after running
a race that morning, we took a walk down to the Battery right at sunset, and the sweetest
proposal followed. After saying yes, a horse and carriage took us on a tour of Charleston, then
we celebrated with a nice dinner and bottle of wine.
We were married at a beautifully restored barn-turned event venue with the ceremony taking
place outside under a covered area with a small pond and gorgeous fall leaves filling the
background. We said our vows on a wooden altar that Will built just for this occasion. The
wedding was filled with our closest family and friends and was an incredible celebration of the
joining of two people and two families together. We had great southern food, red velvet cake,
music, and dancing, then we were whisked away on the tailgate of an antique truck.
Our home is a five bedroom, four bathroom house in a quiet subdivision in the suburbs. We have
a beautiful backyard that is perfect for family cookouts, soccer games, water gun fights, and
playing tag. The road we live on is a giant circle with a common area in the middle. Between the
12 homes in the circle, there are 15 children and we enjoy many campfires, bike rides, and
outdoor movie nights with neighbors in that area.
Our local schools received the highest score on the state testing. Our neighborhood connects into
a walking trail that provides walking access to a number of great playgrounds, a pool, and other
amenities. There are great parks and multiple lakes very close by. We live near a large city, so
we have access to numerous cultural activities including museums, a phenomenal public library,
and a zoo.
Jamie’s parents moved to Tennessee in 2020 to be closer to our family and their grandchildren,
while most of her extended family, including one set of grandparents, lives in Georgia. Jamie
also has one brother who is two years younger than me and lives in Boston with his fiancé,
Lauren, and their precious pets, Peeps and Julep. Although we are a bit scattered geographically,
we are a very tight-knit family. Jamie’s mom and dad (aka, MaMa and PaPa) absolutely adore
Walker and Lindsay and cannot wait to become grandparents again. They never miss an event
that involves their grandchildren, and the kids love any time they get to spend at MaMa and
PaPa’s house.
Will’s mom recently moved from Georgia to Tennessee to be closer to her children and
grandchildren. She is thrilled to be GrandMary to a growing group of grandchildren for her to
love, invest in, and spoil at times. Will’s brother is a pediatric physician, and he and his wife
have four children (7, 6, 5, and 4) whom we all adore. They live out of state, but we make every
effort to see them as much as possible. Will’s sister and her husband live close by and love
spending time with their nieces and nephews. They recently had their first child and we are all
smitten with her!
We are incredibly grateful for an extended family that loves each other so well.
Our primary goal is to faithfully follow Jesus in our individual lives, in our marriage, and within
our family by loving others, serving others, and following his teachings, with the hope that that
environment will create the opportunity and desire for our children to also choose to put their
faith in Jesus. We believe in integrity, character, hard work, humility, and generosity so we
desire to excel in our personal lives and our careers so that we can serve others, be generous, and
enjoy the life God has blessed us with. We value education and will ensure your child is
educated in the best environment where he/she can grow academically while also developing
socially with an appreciation for diversity. We will encourage your child to find joy and wonder
in learning, exploring, and discovering, hoping to facilitate lifelong learning.
We began considering adoption as we struggled to grow our family due to infertility issues.
However, while God used that struggle to point us in the direction of adoption, once we began to
learn, explore, and pray about it, we really felt a calling to this journey. We believe that God has
called us to be loving parents to another child through adoption.
As we’ve seen through the adoption of our daughter, Lindsay, beautiful things are difficult. And
adoption is such a beautiful picture of a Mom’s love for her child. We believe we have a lot of
love to give and could not be more excited to grow our family again. Everyone, especially
Walker and Lindsay, is just over the moon to have another child join our family.
We enjoy working on projects together, be it something around the house, organizing get-
togethers with friends, or supporting a local organization or event. We can often be found
snuggling on the couch as a family to watch a good movie or catch up on our latest show of
interest. We also love taking long weekend trips and traveling together to check out new places.
We appreciate spending time with other couples and families and make a point to have people
over for dinner as often as we can.
During the warmer months, you will most likely find us doing something outdoors. Whether it’s
playing at one of the community playgrounds, riding some type of wheeled vehicle on the
greenway, making Smores in the firepit, grilling the nights dinner, or just relaxing on the back
porch, we love spending time outside.
We commit to…
Raising your child to know they are loved immeasurably and are always our priority.
Being involved and emotionally present parents who ensure that your child will have a
life full of love, security, and stability.
Ensuring that your child will have the knowledge that they are a complete and utter joy
and that we delight in him/her.
Creating opportunities for your child to be involved in activities, holidays, adventures,
and family vacations, and to nurture and encourage a love for extended family.
Always honor you throughout your child’s life.
